Specific Remedial Classes

The S.R.C. or Specific Remedial Classes are a creation of Scolaria Excellence. These are aimed at any pupil in difficulties between CM1 and cinquième.

The S.R.C. or Specific Remedial Classes are a creation of Scolaria Excellence. These are aimed at any pupil in difficulties between CM1 and cinquième.
To allow pupils in difficulty or who are unsuited to a classical style of education to find their path through a set-up and oversight which are specifically tailored to meet their requirements.
Joining an S.R.C. follows a request from the parents, and is based upon the child’s educational achievement record and a psychological report. It may also be considered where pupils have failed the Scolaria entrance examination (less than 30 points out of 100).
It is possible to join a S.R.C. during the course of a school year.
Class sizes limited to 10 pupils for the primary school and 15 pupils for the secondary school.
Teaching within a superb countryside environment, within the Seine Valley, and only 30 km from Rouen and 110 km from Paris.
Compulsory boarding 4 nights a week in primary and 5 nights a week in the collège. Possibility for boarding on a 7 night per week basis (return to the home during school holidays). Full board.
Courses to bring pupils back up to standard, with the perspective of a professional career.
Strict discipline and close oversight (a uniform is compulsory, as with the standard classes at Scolaria), for the benefit of the child. The aim is to provide the child with a positive self image and confidence in their abilities.
Single sex classes at the collège in quatrième and troisième.
Possibility in the medium term to move into the catch-up classes at Scolaria Excellence, but also to join the classic course.
In primary, for the classes of CM1 and CM2, to provide a framework and to fill in gaps in their knowledge, as well as instilling a taste for learning, whilst taking the time required to ensure individual needs are met.
For the sixième and cinquième, methodology courses, working on memory and concentration, French, mathematics, history and English (reinforced), with an important part of the timetable given over to sports (rugby, fencing, table tennis, athletics etc.). The aim is to provide these pupils with a taste for work, reading, study, with the goal of providing a stable schooling.
For the quatrième and troisième: To evaluate the areas where knowledge and understanding are missing, to provide a method of working and to take the time to find an educational or professional path suited to the child.
