Headmaster: David Barbaud
After training as an historian, François Rouleau has a long experience, first of all in teaching young children and teenagers, and then teaching in the private sector as a lower school teacher. Dynamic and versatile, his ability to bring out the best in pupils between CP and CM2 has been a recognised quality in the posts he has held within various prestigious establishments. He joins the Scolaria Excellence team in September 2010. He will also take on the role of choirmaster.
History-Geography : Dr Estelle DREW
Completely bilingual, holder of a PhD from the University of Birmingham (UK), Dr Estelle Drew has been an associate lecturer at the Open University, teaching a course on “Governing Europe”. Until 2008, she also organised bilingual university courses at the Institut Bilingue Interuniversitaire de la Seine. Since 2008 she has been teaching history-geography in Rouen. She joins the Scolaria Excellence team in 2012, notably as part of the bilingual teaching on the linguistic courses. She will also lead on the linguistic exchanges with the UK and the USA.
English : Charlotte NOTELET
Holder of a Master’s degree in English, Charlotte Notelet taught in the private King Edward VI School in Southampton (UK). This "public school" experience is an undeniable plus for the linguistic and scientific courses within our establishment. Mlle Notelet joins the ranks of Scolaria Excellence in 2012 and will be in charge of planning and then putting into practice the English programme within the Middle School, with the aim of ensuring that all pupils have the basics (grammar et vocabulary) of the English language.
French : Federico MORISOT
Originally from Argentina, but bathed in French culture, Federico Morisot taught French in Argentina. He shared his love for the language of Molière both in High School and at the University of Buenos Aires, where he also taught the History of Art. Living in France, he obtained a doctorate degree in grammar within classical French comedy and has been teaching, amongst other things, modern grammar, literature and Old French at the Sorbonne (Université Paris IV) since 2007. He has also regularly been a board member for the mock French baccalauréat.
He has also undertaken research in areas as widespread as "l'ironie dans Candide", and "la périphrase verbale dans la correspondance de Madame de Sévigné". In 2012, he will join the Scolaria Excellence team with the role of planning the French courses for both the Middle and High Schools, as well as sharing his passion for literature and the subtleties of the French language with the pupils of the establishment.
A highly qualified maths teacher, Ewan Delanoy wrote his thesis on the "Définition combinatoire des polynômes de Kazdhan-Lusztig" under the supervision of Fokko du Cloux. He has written a number of articles for peer-reviewed journals. He will be in charge of the maths programme in the High School, joining the teaching staff of Scolaria Excellence in 2012.
An engineer from a prestigious French science institution, Mohamed Aguezzailou began his professional career in the pharmaceutical industry as a quality control engineer. He then lent his teaching qualities to intensive mathematics, physics and chemistry courses for pupils between Middle School and pre-entry university level. Strongly involved in third-sector activities, his unusual background and impressive teaching qualities make him a natural choice to join the teaching team of the Middle School and High School in 2012.
