Sixième

All the sixième classes will open in September 2012.

At Scolaria Excellence, there are three different courses: classic, linguistic or scientific. The choice of course is determined by the number of points obtained in the entry test. If a pupil has sufficient points (70 points or more), they can choose the course they wish to follow.

The different courses

Sixième classic

The pupil must have obtained at least 50 points out of 100 at the entrance exam. English and Latin will be compulsory subjects. The objective is to create human scientists nurtured on culture and ready to take on solid general studies. During their studies, the pupils will be expected to follow conferences and internships in archaeology, as well have studying culture throughout the world.

Sixième linguistic

The Sixième linguistic aims to train the future elite, whether that be in the diplomatic field, as interpreters, journalists, or linguists, able to work abroad as easily as in France. To gain entry into the sixième linguistic, a pupil has to achieve 70% at the entry examination. Pupils learn two languages from the sixième onwards (Chinese/Russian and English) and, from the quatrième onwards, study a third of their choice amongst German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Arabic.
